The Dusty Pearls Rockin' The Hollow

The Dusty Pearls
Im sure you all have heard by now that we had an absolutely divine evening at Tranquility Hollow with The Dusty Pearls! Full Feather Photography was coming out to take some promotional pictures of this effervescent duo so we decided to make an evening of it.  They brought out their equipment to serenade us into their lovely world of country/pop vocals and string pickin! I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am to be working with Mark and Shelly out at Tranquility Hollow. I am 100% sure that we will be seeing them at some of your events you put together out here!
So how I can describe the performance to you, you ask? Well, this wont do it justice but lets give it a go! If you are a fan of beautiful melodies, incredible vocal talent, a performance that makes you feel like youre not watching a band but watching two people who can read each other from a sideways glance from behind the mic. and smile like something happened that makes you want to re-wind because you might have missed something, and love how a band can engage the audience as if you are being given a key to their secret world; then they are truly the band for you!
This was the first performance that I have heard live at Tranquility Hollow. I knew because of our location and surroundings that it was going to be a wonderful evening because the music could surround you and flow through the trees and clear country air, but this absolutely blew me away! There are now BIG shoes to fill for the next band that books at Tranquility Hollow!

Please enjoy this video that Bob put together of their performance that evening. Its a musical snack to give you just enough of a taste that it will leave you wanting more! The gorgeous photos from the evening were all captured by Full Feather Photography! We always enjoy working with Tara and her work never ceases to amaze us! Now sit back, enjoy the photos and listen to the The Dusty Pearls perform live at Tranquility Hollow!

The Disk Jockey

The Disk Jockey

I had the privilege of meeting with Jason Barnes from The Disk Jockey at Tranquility Hollow last week! Let me start out by saying that this company does more than your average wedding DJ! They really go above and beyond for their customers and it shows in their work. I sat down with Jason after a tour of Tranquility Hollow and went through some questions with him that Im sure you all might have for your next event in our backyard! Lets see what Jason had to say about, The Disk Jockey!

Q&A with Jason Barnes

Shelly: Are weddings your primary focus or do you cater more towards other events?
Jason: We primarily do weddings, but can set up for other events as well.
Shelly: How do you try and customize the music for each couple? Do you provide help with song lists and suggestions?
Jason: The bride and groom will meet with the actual DJ that will be at their wedding. They will discuss music tastes, and build a soundtrack based on the couples taste in music. We will do everything we can to ensure we have the music that YOU like for your big event!
Shelly: How long have you been a DJ?
Jason: Weve been in business for 2 years!
Shelly: What other services do you provide?
Jason: We can bring lights, screens for videos (with a tripod spandex stretch screen), wired and wireless microphones, monograms plus a custom set if that is an option a couple would like!
Shelly: How do you handle song requests?
Jason: We try and play each suggestion within reason. If the music has a lot of foul language we will always play the edited version. We try and keep our music tasteful for all audiences.
Shelly: What happens if there is an emergency with our specific DJ?
Jason: We have 3 DJs on staff. If a problem with your specific DJ arises we will allow you to meet with your new DJ as time permits, and they will have all the instructions and notes on your event.
Shelly: What sets you apart from other DJs?
Jason: Our custom set design! We can build a set to go along with the theme of your event.

The Disk Jockey in Tulsa is a wonderful addition to the vendors we recommend at Tranquility Hollow! They really seem to have the customers satisfaction and happiness in the forefront of their minds! From custom soundtracks, one-on-one time with your DJ, and the custom set design (which in itself is AWESOME) The Disk Jockey is definitely a business to consider for your next event at Tranquility Hollow!

The Dusty Pearls

The*Dusty*Pearls
I had the privilege of meeting with Shelly and Mark of the Dusty Pearls music group a couple of weeks ago! We had a great lunch and I learned a little about their music and backgrounds and just absolutely adore their laid-back style! Shelly and Mark have been playing music together for roughly 5 years and about 6 months ago formed The Dusty Pearls and hit the ground running! Both Shelly and Mark grew up in Tulsa and are very familiar with our great town! I met them out at Tranquility Hollow after a “get to know you” lunch and they fell in love with the place! How can you NOT want to bring your guitar out and play a little music surrounded by all the beautiful things nature has to offer in our backyard!? Their exciting mixture of country/pop/classic rock will leave you with a cheery spirit and a little spring in your step! If you’re interested in finding out more about The Dusty Pearls you can “Like” their page on Facebook:
or find them on ReverbNation.com
Mark saw no problem getting his equipment set up at the Hollow and they are so excited to play at your next event!
They have a 3 hour set, and for the duo will run you $500!
WHAT A DEAL
They can also add two more band members for an additional $300 ($800 total).
They also mentioned that if you have a specific song in mind and give them advance notice they will do their best to learn a suggestion from you (within reason)! Of course you will need to call them to set up the details about music set lists and preferences! Shelly added that they have plenty of “wedding” music that they can play with the “sweet love song” vibes if you are thinking of them for your wedding reception!
Check out their music and call them today to book them for your next event at Tranquility Hollow!
