Tulsa Bridal Beauty

We are adding a new vendor today to our growing list of people who we are looking forward to working with at Tranquility Hollow! Krista, from Tulsa Bridal Beauty came out to Tranquility Hollow last week to take a look around, and tell us about her business! We thoroughly enjoyed talking with her, and learning about her hair/makeup business. Krista does on-location airbrush makeup and hair for her clients! We are so excited to be working with her! We gave Krista some questions to answer about her business, and here is what she said….

 

 About how long will the trial take?  Please allow 2 hours for a hair and makeup trial. 

 Can the girls show you hair/makeup ideas that they’d like to re-create?  Absolutely! Pictures are great! You want to make sure you are providing photos of people who look like you. Example: Similar hair color, length of hair, texture of hair, complexion of skin, and your eye color. 
Do you do the trial before the deposit is due? We cannot reserve your date without a $50 deposit. You can either choose to pay a non-refundable deposit in advance or wait till your trial. We cannot guarantee your date until the deposit is paid.  

 

 If the Bride is unsure about the look and would like to continue to think about options after the trial, do you require she make the deposit and book at the trial? No, we will not pressure you into any contracts. However, if you want to wait and book later we cannot guarantee your date will still be available, as we book quickly during wedding season. 
Do you help with the veil/hair accessories on the wedding day? Yes, we always show your mother or maid of honor how to attach the veil and remove the veil. This is included in our service. 

 Does the bride need to bring her veil/hair accessories for the trial? Yes, this helps establish the hair style look for your day.
 Do you have different hair accessories to let the bride use? Yes, I have hair accessories the bride can use during the trial only as ideas for what she may want to purchase from a bridal shop for her wedding day. 
Where does the trial take place? This is to be determined once we coordinate a trial date. 

 Do you offer advice to Brides about makeup choices? Yes, I always offer advice for makeup choices for skin tones and complexions. You are hiring us as a professional artist to make you look your very best on the most important day of your life. 
What products do you use? Our kits are fully stocked with the highest professional makeup used for HD film and photography not sold in department stores or drug stores. We also carry MAC, Urban Decay, Aveda etc. 

 If the Bride has sensitive skin, and special makeup can you work with her makeup for the wedding? All our makeup is hypoallergenic. If there is an allergy to a product this would be determined at a trial. This is why trials are very important. 
Do you offer hair extensions? We do not offer hair extensions. I can recommend clip in extension brands along with adding them into your hair for your service. If you need them cut into your hair shape we can also provide this service, since we are licensed cosmetologists.
On the day of the wedding, does the bride need to wash her hair that morning or leave it as is? TBD at the trial.

Should the bride use any products in her hair? Leave in conditioner, deep conditioners, etc. Brides should always use a styling product such as a mouse when blow drying. This will help hold the shape of your style once your look is created. You want your hair to build texture to hold shape so stay away from the smoothing and leave in conditioners. 
Do you have any extra fees or expenses for arriving on location on the wedding day? Depending on the location we do charge a small fee for travel. The fee for us to drive to your location, set up, and break down our mobile salon at Tranquility Hollow is $25. 
Do you have an assistant if need be? Depending on the size of your wedding, which is determined at our trial, we provide our licensed and trained stylists for your wedding party. This is at no extra cost to you. We take care of paying our artists. We also stock the same products in our kits to keep our team cohesive. 

What is your backup plan if you wake up sick or suddenly become unavailable on the wedding? This is also discussed at our trial. When we are executing your trial we document all products used to create your look along with photos.
What is your biggest advice to brides on their wedding day? The best advice I have to all brides is to relax and enjoy the day! We are licensed and trained professionals here to help enhance your beauty for your big day.

Meet Kara Marrs

One of our goals at Tranquility Hollow is to meet the wedding vendors from around town at our property so we can show them around, get to know them and hear their ideas for how their business can benefit our brides at Tranquility Hollow! Our first vendor up to bat last week was Kara Marrs of Kara Marrs Beauty. We gave Kara a list of the top questions you (bride) might have for your hair/makeup stylist about your wedding day! Here is what she said…

Do you help with the veil/hair accessories on the wedding day?

Yes! I will help with any hair needs.

Does the bride need to bring her veil/hair accessories for the trial?

Yes! we want to see the whole look to make sure it is the way you want

Do you have different hair accessories to let the bride use?

I supply the pins and product

Where does the trial take place?

The trial can take place at my office or on location.

Do you offer advice to Brides about makeup choices?

I will offer any kind of makeup tips that I use that day. I am an open book! Love sharing secrets!

What products do you use?

Mac and Temptu airbrush makeup

If the Bride has sensitive skin, and special makeup can you work with her makeup for the wedding?

I have product for every type of skin

Do you offer hair extensions?

I do offer extensions but the bride has to match the hair.

Leave it unwashed

Should the bride use any products in her hair? (Leave in conditioner, deep conditioners, etc.)

Depends on hair type. we can go over this on the trial date. I will also go over skin care if needed.

If it is outside of the Tulsa area
