15 Questions a Bride Might Ask!

ABridal ChecklistA
We know as a bride you’re going to have many questions for us as your big day approaches!
We have taken the time to write out some questions and answers about our venue to help you plan accordingly!
Of course, we expect that you will have many more questions as your planning begins and we are more than happy to help answer those for you!
You can always contact Shelly Hendrix at 918.312.0464 or email her at: ShellyHendrix@gmail.com
Shelly has worked with and talked with vendors out at our property and can offer assistance lining up appointments and pointing you in the direction of vendors that match your ideas for your wedding day!

h Q&A Time    h
1.        Do you have our date open?
That’s a great question! Our answer is: WE HOPE WE DO! As soon you have a date in mind, please give us a call , email or text so we can check our calendar and hopefully add your special day to our books!
2.    Will we have exclusive use of the venue during our wedding?
YES! We do not double book events at Tranquility Hollow. So whether you are booking a wedding, birthday party, bridal shower, or a family get together, you will be the ONLY event on the property!
3.     How many people can you accommodate?
We have a couple different popular options for a ceremony site, and can comfortably accommodate 100-125 people. Of course if you have a few more people in mind, don’t count us out! Talk to us and we may have options to set up extra chairs if need be!
4.    What is the fee for renting our venue?
For this answer I’m going to direct to our wedding package details page!  Click HERE
5.     Do you allow throwing of rice/confetti or sparklers at the ceremony?
We prefer you throw birdseed to feed our feathered friends (they like sunflower seeds best)!  We also like blowing bubbles.  We have lots of wooded areas here and need to be extra careful with Sparklers.  If the county has not issued a “burn ban”, sparklers will be allowed but with rules about lighting and where to dispose of them.
6.     Are there any restrictions on photography/videography during the ceremony?
NO! We want you to remember your special day with as many pictures and videos as possible! Your photographer will have access to your ceremony and lots of opportunities for some magical photos to be shared that day!  We strongly suggest that if your photographer/videographer has not yet been to Tranquility Hollow, that they set up a time to come tour the property with you (or on their own if need be) so they are comfortable with our venue and can get an idea of what all they’ll be working with! We also know how popular photobooths are becoming and have a few of those who are more than excited to work with events at our venue!
7.       How big is your parking area?
We are in the process of building a bigger parking area and by mid-summer 2013, we will have plenty of space to accommodate your guests.
8.     Can we use any vendor or do you have specified vendors that we have to use?
We have no restrictions about which vendor you use! We do have a list of vendors available for you that have been to our property and are comfortable setting up out here! For more information about this, you can call Shelly and work out some of the details! Again, if you use a vendor that has NOT been here yet, we ask that you make sure they come out and take a tour before the big day so we all know that they can make it here and set up without a problem!
9.     What about music? Do you have a stage, sound system, or dance floor that we can use on our wedding day?
We have many options when it comes to DJ’s and live music that you can hire at your choosing! There are several options as to where they can set up, and as far as a dance floor we have open spaces that you can designate as a “dancing area”! We do not supply a separate “floor” to dance on though.
10.  What time can the band/DJ play until?
We ask that receptions end by midnight and all the vendors be gone by 1AM.  If you anticipate their packing up will take longer, then the reception should end earlier.
11.     Do you allow fireworks or candles at the ceremony/reception?
Conditional use of Sparklers is allowed (see #5 above).  No other fireworks are allowed.  Candles enclosed in glass chimneys may be used on level, stable surfaces.
12.  Are there any noise restrictions?
We have a few neighbors who may be able to hear the celebration, however, at this time we do not anticipate it becoming an issue, as long as the volume is “reasonable”.  Other than music, if there are other type of “noise” you require, that should be discussed with the management in advance.
13.   Do I need to obtain any permits or insurance for the wedding?
Each of your vendors will need to provide us with a proof of insurance certificate at least 10 days before your wedding day.
14.  Is there a bridal room and or grooms suite?
Absolutely! Again, I’m going to direct you to our photo page and you can view the online gallery of photos with pictures of where you and your wedding party will be getting ready! Feel free to share the photos with friends and family as well!
